Viewtiful Joe - Captain Planet
Viewtiful Joe and its sequels are all about over-the-top action super heroes and the tropes that come with them.
This weird amalgalm gave us 2 fantastic alternate characters in the form of demon hunters Dante and Trish from Devil May Cry.
With Viewtiful Joe set in a world where powers are nothing more than VFX “movie-magic”, it got me thinking that it’d be interesting to see another kind of super hero; the “summoned elemental formed by the powers of 5 magical rings” kind.
Imagine if you will a Captain Planet character unlockable in a possible Viewtiful Joe sequel!
First thing I needed was to solidify what Captain Planet might look like in the Viewtiful Joe universe so, armed with my trusy Wacom, I sketched out a few ideas and then rendered him out.
